Michael Busch
Ht/Wt: 5'10"/200 lbs
Position: 1B/OF
Team: North Carolina

Michael Busch - Prospect Profile

MLB.com: "Busch makes it look easy at the plate. He has a smooth left-handed swing with plenty of bat speed and a patient, balanced approach that allows him to hammer balls to all fields. He should hit for average and power while drawing plenty of walks, and few college players in this Draft have a higher offensive ceiling or floor."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 22nd: "While Busch has a solid feel for the strike zone, he also has 60-grade raw power and a strong track record of hitting. He’s produced in both the ACC and with a wood bat in the Cape Cod League, where he hit .322/.450/.567 with six home runs in 27 games last summer."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - Mar. 20th: "Busch has an excellent feel for hitting. The lefthanded hitter this year walked more than he struck out and consistently barrels up balls. He generates impressive bat speed, which leads to plus power that he gets to well in games. Busch’s biggest drawback is that he’s a slightly undersized first baseman at a listed 6-foot, 207 pounds."

Kyler Peterson - Prospects Live - Dec. 12th: "Busch is as safe as a bet to hit at the next level as there is in the draft. He has a short, quick stroke that he uses to hit to all fields."
