Hunter Barco - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - Carlos Collazo and Teddy Cahill - July 6: "An athletic lefthander, he throws from a very low arm slot and has tremendous running life on a low-90s fastball and a tumbling, 82-85 mph changeup. The consistency of his low-80s slider over the course of the summer and spring could be the key factor in where he falls in the draft"

MLB.com - Jonathan Mayo - June 8: "Barco might be the best high school arm in the class, a big, strong lefty who can run his fastball up to the mid-90s. He throws a slider and a changeup, can throw strikes with all three pitches and gets high marks for his competitiveness on the mound."

Through the Fence Baseball - Michael Dault - June 6: "Barco is notably the best high school arm in the class. Every year a player gets the title, and for the upcoming year hes got it. Much like most pitchers that will go in the first 15 picks, Barco is a big boy with a strong arm. He throws three pitches and gets good marks on all of them."
