Position: 1B/3B
Team: Lake Travis HS (TX)

Brett Baty - Prospect Profile

MLB.com: "Baty may have passed Jung with a more impressive spring and his bat could land him in the middle of the first round. Baty possesses some of the best raw power in the 2019 Draft, the product of bat speed, strength and loft in his left-handed swing. He's also more of an advanced hitter than just a pure masher."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 22nd: "The ease with which he’s able to send the ball out of the park, both to the pull side and to the opposite field, rivals nearly any player in the 2019 draft. A big, 6-foot-3, 218-pound third baseman, Baty has improved his body composition over the past few years, turning some of his baby fat into muscle, which has helped improve his game both offensively and defensively."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - Mar. 20th: "The corner infielder from Texas brings plenty of pop to the table with a physical, 6-foot-3, 218-pound frame and quick, uppercut swing from the left side. Baty hit the ball hard more consistently than most prep hitters throughout the summer and routinely stands out during batting practice with power to all fields."

Keith Law - ESPNFeb. 26th: "Baty projects to hit for average and power with a sweet left-handed swing and has unusual size for a high school kid."
