Position: 1B
Team: Cal

Andrew Vaughn - Prospect Profile

MLB.com: "Vaughn could very well be the best all-around hitter in this Draft class. He has a very advanced approach at the plate, one that has allowed him to walk much more than he has struck out throughout his Cal career, with a knack for barreling up the baseball. "

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 22nd: "Vaughn put up one of the best offensive seasons in Cal history in 2018, hitting .402/.531/.819 with 23 home runs (tying a single-season school record previously set by Xavier Nady in 1999) to win the 2018 Golden Spikes Award. That campaign proved Vaughn had arguably the best combination of hit and power tools of any prospect in the 2019 draft class."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - Mar. 20th: "The 2018 Golden Spikes award winner, Vaughn put up one of the best offensive campaigns in Cal’s history, with a .402/.531/.819 slash line and 23 home runs—tying the Cal record previously set by Xavier Nady in 1999."

Keith Law - ESPNFeb. 26th: "Vaughn is the best pure hitter in the class."

Kyler Peterson - Prospects Live - Dec. 12th: "Standing at a stout 6-foot, 215 pounds, he slashed an absurd .402/.531/.819 with 23 bombs. He also has a mature approach, walking 44 times while striking out only 18."
