Mike Nikorak's Player Profile

It’s hard for evaluators to get looks at prep arms from the northeast, but scouts from all over the country have made their way to Pennsylvania this spring to check out Mike Nikorak. After making a name for himself on the summer showcase circuit last year, he’s solidified himself as one of the top prep arms in the upcoming draft.

Nikorak has a very projectable 6’5, 205 lbs frame and is a good athlete, having played quarterback in high school. The right-hander has been up to 97 with his fastball and commands it pretty well. He also flashes a plus curveball and a usable changeup.

Like so many other players in this draft class, Mike may be as surprised as everyone else when he hears his name called on June 8th. There doesn’t seem to be consensus on where he’ll go, with some indications that he could slip into the Top 10 and other scenarios where he could fall to the back of the first round. Wherever he goes, he’ll bring some serious upside on the mound.
