Touki Toussaint's Player Profile

Fastball – Toussaint has a very life fastball, sitting 92-95 and occasionally touching the high 90’s withsome run.

Curve – One scout told me that Toussaint has a “video game breaking-ball” when he’s at his best, an 83-85 offering that has loads of spin and buries down and breaks away from right-handed hitters. He has a tendency to spike the pitch, however.

Change – I haven’t seen the Change thrown, but scouts that have seen him in the high-school season have said he throws one with little feel and a noticeable arm speed difference.

Command – Toussaint’s stuff has seen a slight downtick since last fall, but the biggest drop has been in command. He really struggled to hit his spots when I saw him this summer, and that apparently has been a recurring theme. Some of that be because of a somewhat violent delivery that requires some effort, but this will have to improve if he’s to regain his status.
