Ti'Quan Forbes's Player Profile

Hit / On-base – Forbes swing has some issues; he drops his hands before contact and that can lead to timing issues and some wing and miss. However the ball jumps off of his bat and high batting averages are not out of the question.

Power – Right now it’s raw power that hasn’t translated into games, but Forbes has strong wrists and plus bat speed that suggests that he could put up above-average power numbers at shortstop and average power numbers at third base.

Speed – Forbes is a well-above average runner.

Glove – When I saw Forbes at the Perfect Game event, I came away impressed. He has soft hands and solid footwork, and more than enough arm strength to handle shortstop or third base. Some scouts tell me there have been some mental lapses in Forbes game, but that wasn’t on display when I saw him in San Diego.
