Nick Gordon's Player Profile

Hit/On-base – Gordon has a line drive stroke and has shown good feel for hitting, doing a solid job with pitch recognition and shows a willingness to hit the ball the other way.

Power – Gordon has somewhat surprising pop for his frame, though it’s almost entirely to the pull side. I wouldn’t expect immense power totals, but a guy who can hit 15-20 homers is within reach.

Speed – Gordon is a very good athlete, capable of using his Speed to make plays to his left and right and doing some damage on the bases.

Glove – Right now, the glove is Gordon’s calling card. His arm is plus-plus (more on that later) and he has some of the softest hands and best range of any player in the entire class. Assuming he doesn’t add too much to his frame, Gordon looks like a lock to play shortstop at the professional level.
