Derek Hill's Player Profile

Hit/On-base – Hill was one of the best in game performers of the summer, with a fluid swing and was one of the few guys that showed an ability to go there other way and to handle above-average secondary stuff.

Power – With a swing that is more geared for contact without much lift, I wouldn’t expect much more than double digit homer season from Hill, though there is some projection in his body so that could change.

Speed – Hill runs very well, and has more than enough athleticism to stick in centerfield.

Glove – Again, you can never project a lock from a prep player, but I really think Hill is a future centerfielder. He gets good reads on the ball and takes good paths, and has an accurate, strong arm as well.
