Derek Fisher's Player Profile

Hit / On-base – There’s swing and miss in Fisher’s game, but he does have a solid swing and has shown that he has the ability to work counts and he’s gotten better at going the other way with the pitch during his time in Charlottesville.

Power –Fisher has plus bat speed and will put on a show during batting practice – his raw power is plus-plus -- but hasn’t really shown that pop in games consistently. The power numbers started to increase a bit more late in the spring and during the summer though, so that could be a positive trend to keep an eye on.

Speed – Fisher has above-average speed, though some scouts have warned me about his base running mistakes.

Glove – Fisher is going to have to hit, because he doesn’t add much value with the glove, if any. He has a below-average throwing arm, and his poor instincts lead to bad routes to the baseball. He’s not a future DH, but there’s zero chance of him playing center or right field.
