Brandon Finnegan's Player Profile

Fastball – Despite his size, Finnegan can really bring it; occasionally hitting 98 on the gun and sitting in the 92-95.

Curve – Finnegan’s breaking ball is more of a slurve, and while that term is generally considered a negative, the pitch has good spin and he is able to make batters swing and miss at the pitch and throw it for strikes. It’d be a solid curve ball if it firmed up, but it’s at least an above-average offering at the next level.

Change – There’s nothing special to Finnegan’s change, but he has great feel for the pitch and flashes and is another above-average offering for the next level.

Command – It’s not elite command, but Finnegan does a good job of hitting his spots and doesn’t put a ton of runners on base via walk or hit by pitch. He repeats his delivery well, and again, he has a very good idea of how to pitch.
